Study Sociology of Africa in times of Corona

The summer semester 2021 will initially start digital. This applies to all courses, including those that are displayed in cmlife or CampusOnline as face-to-face courses or are provided there with specific room details. As was the case last semester, exceptions will be made for laboratory work, internships, examinations, practical (including sports) training, and artistic training phases. These may continue to be held in-person under the conditions with which you are already familiar. University management and Sociology of Africa staff are currently working on setting up teaching activites and tailored counselling, support and assistance services to offer a high-quality summer semester even though restrictions due to COVID-19 are still present. Please check the Sociology of Africa and Humanities websites for updates, and please also encourage your fellow students to subscribe to the ASP-KuWi-UBT mailing list.

+++ Back to digital teaching from 01.12.2020 till the end of the winter term: The University of Bayreuth switches back to digital teaching, which will be in place till the end of the winter term, since universities throughout Germany are required to switch back to digital teaching. As was the case last semester, exceptions will be made for laboratory work, internships, examinations, practical (including sports) training, and artistic training phases. These may continue to be held in-person under the conditions with which you are already familiar. Information on the exams will be provided by your lecturers individually. +++
