24 febrarury 2026
This new publication "Youth climate activism in shrinking spaces: how Uganda’s activists navigate red lines" is co-authored by Laura Krehbiel, Jana Hönke and Jan Sändig.
The paper investigates what activism looks like in contexts where political space is more constrained and climate impacts are strongly felt. Building up on Laura Krehbiel's master thesis, the article shows how Ugandan climate activists use social media to articulate their demands and how this enables them to navigate political constraints.
